When you start your main engine all of your batteries are automatically interlinked and charging from the alternator. When the main engine is turned off, the starting battery is automatically isolated and your auxiliary batteries are ready for trolling all day. The 65-1000 is designed for boats with a main engine alternator up to 30 amps.
