Steering head unit has four bolts. Cable should have a 5/8" sliding tube with a 7/8"-14 connector nut to anchor the cable to the through-the-tilt tube system. Tube end has eye for 3/8" stud.
For replacement cable only _ set the cable travel at mid position. Then measure cable length from motor hook-up eye end to the steering head conduit fitting. Then add five inches to compensate for cable needed within steering head unit.
